Church for people who don't go to church

When: Tuesday evenings 8-9:30pm

Where: Downstairs at the Hourglass pub, Melbourne Street

St. Leonards Unplugged is open for anybody to come along and think more about the big questions of life, death (and beyond) in a relaxed, interactive way. Our aim is to make you comfortable, whatever your background. We meet on a weekly basis, grab a drink, take a look at a section from the Bible and discus it in informal groups. In addition to the discussion, there is time to chat with others and get to know them. So however interested in Christianity you are, we welcome you, and look forward to getting to know you!

This is what a typical meeting at St. Leonards Unplugged will look like:

• Upon arrival, there is a chance to get drinks and chat with others, and put up prayer requests on a board.
• The meeting officially begins with a reading from the Bible, followed by a 20 minute interactive talk on what that bit of the Bible says.
• This is followed by some time to reflect on the talk and discus it round tables.
• There is then an opportunity to ask questions on the talk and the Biblical text it addresses.
• The meeting then comes to a close, with some time left for milling around and chatting, and if you want, praying with someone!

What will you be investigating?

This term we will be digging into the book of Mark, one of the four Biblical accounts of Jesus' life. As we look at what Mark tells us about Jesus, we will address questions and issues regarding life in general.
