Students at St. Leonard's

St Leonard's church is a lively, evangelical, Anglican church with a long history of student ministry. We welcome all students, from those wanting to investigate Christianity for the first time to students wanting to live for Jesus at University. Our aim in short is:

- To live for Christ

- To make Him known

St. Leonard's is dedicated to students and we take this role and the opportunities seriously. We want to invest our time helping students explore or strengthen true faith in Jesus Christ . We believe this is done primarily through God's Word, the Bible and we hope you will all go on and serve Jesus in life after University (yes it does exist).

There is a student team at St. Leoanrd's, who we hope will make you feel welcome and help you settle in to University life in sunny Exeter. We have one male and female ministry assistant who would love to hear from you. Here are some way to get involved as a student at St. Leonard's

Sunday services

 There are three services at St. Leonard's every sunday. 9.15am, 11.00am and 6.30pm. Students are very welcome at any service. In the morning there is the opportunity to help out in the youth and childrens groups. The 6.30pm service is always followed by a student meal and a chance to catch up with other students. At each service we hear from God's Word and sing and pray together. 

FOCUS

FOCUS is our student meeting on a Monday evening in the church centre. We all meet at 6.30pm for a lovely meal and a chance to get to know other better. There will be a bible study in small groups, a short break followed by a doctrine talk and chance to pray together. FOCUS is a wondeful way to be challenged by God's word and encouraged to live for Him at University. This year we will be studying the book of Romans.

Student Getaway

On the 10-12th February all St. Leonard's students head out of Exeter to the depths of Somerset for a weekend away together. It offers us a chance to grow friendships and make new ones. We will hear a series of talks and seminars as well as free time to enjoy the countryside. More details will be coming soon, so watch this space.

One to One

This is an opporttunity to meet up with an older Christian at St.Leonard's, it is a good chance to regularly meet and study God's word, to pray together and talk about student life and be encouraged by an older Christian, who you can build a lasting relationship with.

Hospitality Sunday

At St. Leonard's we are privileged to have many church families, and during term students have the chance to go to a family for Sunday lunch. More will follow shortly about dates and signing up. This is a Sunday lunch not to miss out on!
